T.V Scene / My Boss Redux
Describing Linda Di Franco is no easy task: a reserved, sometimes elusive artist with a career difficult to define. From a young age she explored various art forms. Working as a DJ in clubs and then on the radio, she seized the opportunity to record her first musical demo, "Stage", obtaining international recognition which quickly brought her to England and then to the U.S., where she recorded her first songs, "My Boss" and "T.V. Scene".
These songs are highly valuable and achieve unexpected success also included in "The Rise Of The Heart", a milestone in the nascent club culture revolution, a Balearic classic supported by DJs enchanted by Ibiza's indefinable sound.
However Linda is remarkably ahead of her time and despite the fame she has gained with her music she is already focused on a career as a music video director. This makes her one of the least fruitful artists of her era, meanwhile her Hollywood CV is impressive, with roles beyond acting and directing - she is also an expert sound engineering.
An intelligent artist, full of good, positive feelings and undoubtedly ambitious, but extremely meticulous, carefully reviewing by subjecting sounds in cinema. For her the "sound" is a tool of investigation, a means to understand art.
Linda Di Franco - willy-nilly - remains the undisputed queen of the Balearic sound today. She decided to produce ''Redux'', a limited edition album released by Best Record, featuring jazz reimaginations of her most daring and popular songs, performed by her musician friends from Turin and Los Angeles.
Then she had to give in to the boundless passion of Danilo Braca, the Italian DJ based in New York, who deserves credit for successfully blending refined, ethereal songs with disco.
Tracks like ''T.V. Scene - Epic Remix'', ''T.V. Scene - Costa del Sol Mix'' and ''My Boss - Remix'' are Danilo's pearls, created with international musicians who added their own style and contemporary sound to Linda’s music.
